Local Union 397 in Port Hope hosted this year’s apprenticeship contest for the carpenters, drywall acoustic mechanics and floor covering installers last week.

Local 18 was represented by carpenter  Thomas Schroeter, Drywall Mechanic Erik Van Den Breemen, as well as Resilient Floor Covering Installer Paolo Campisano. Our Contestants competed very well and completed the projects and exams on time and with great skill. We would like to thank all three of our members for participating and representing Local 18 with their skills and maintaining a very professional demeanor in the 2016 contest.

When the contest was completed the top three tradespersons were named:

Carpentry:
